Privacy policy

The short version

• No accounts, no sign-ups and no cookies set by this site today.
• The home-page game shuffle is tuned on your device. That guess is never sent to us or anyone else, and it is not saved.
• We do not sell or share your personal information.
• Our host keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.

Information we collect

We don’t ask you for personal information to use this site. The newsletter box and the contact “message desk” are not connected yet. Anything typed into them stays in your browser, is not sent, and is not stored.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes standard technical data when your browser requests a page: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems. See Vercel’s privacy policy.

The home-page game shuffle (on-device tuning)

The featured game at the top of the home page rotates through the library. To decide which game to show first and which come up sooner, a small script running in your browser makes a rough guess about what kind of games you might like (for example competitive shooters, 360/PS3 classics, story games or Nintendo and family games). It uses only things your browser already knows:

• whether you’re on a touch device or a desktop,
• your device’s local time of day,
• the website you came from, if your browser shares it (for example YouTube or Reddit),
• how you interact with the shuffle on this page, such as pausing, skipping or opening a game.

This guess exists only in the open tab. It is not sent to our servers or any third party, not combined with other data, and not stored in cookies, local storage or anywhere else. When you leave or reload the page it is gone. It does not use advertising data, cookies from other sites or fingerprinting. If your device has “reduce motion” turned on, the shuffle doesn’t auto-rotate.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies or use local storage today. You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Analytics

We don’t run analytics or tracking scripts on this site right now. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we’ll update this policy first.

Advertising (planned)

We may show ads from Google AdSense in the future, and our ads.txt file already lists our authorized ad seller. No ads run on the site today. If ads are turned on:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. See how Google uses data for ads.
• Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before personalized ads or cookies are used.

Links to other sites

Buttons on this site link to YouTube and X. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for how they handle your information. We don’t embed YouTube players on this site at the moment; if we do, we’ll use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode where possible.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the site collects no personal information through forms or accounts, there is nothing to submit. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California privacy law), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to certain uses. Because we don’t keep personal information beyond our host’s routine logs, there is usually nothing to look up, but you can contact us with any request and we’ll respond.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS with HSTS and a strict Content Security Policy that blocks third-party scripts. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we keep the site simple to keep the risk low.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if anything changes, for example before ads, analytics, a newsletter or a contact form go live. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
